Internship Program Information
Comfort Community Center is pleased to provide Georgia students with the opportunity to intern at the Center. Interns in the Center have the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in the areas of Behavioral disorder, Analysis, Support and Individual Service Plan Formulation as it relates to Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
Interns are provided the opportunities to work with different stakeholders, including individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Board Certified Psychiatrist, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Technicians and a host of other specialist in the areas of DD.
Each intern will have a variety of responsibilities, and he or she will be assigned projects that relate to his or her field of study.
Interns also have the opportunity to participate in several group activities that highlight the Center’s functions.
All internships are in Marietta.
Comfort Community Center does not provide housing for interns.
Eligibility Requirements
To be chosen as an intern with Comfort Community Center, interns must meet the following qualifications:
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in college, or enrollment in graduate school in a relevant subject area that relates to Developmental Disabilities.
- Current enrollment in a Georgia college, university, or accredited school, or reside in Georgia.
- Earned grade point average of 2.75
